Few tips for golf putting to remember to hit the bull’s eye

golf putting tipsGolf is a subtle and posh game. It is said to be the game of riches but everyone can play and be pro at it. All you have to do is remember few golf putting tips:

  1. First step to do is to give yourself an eye exam. First of all, pick a target on the ground which is a few feet far from the flag. Now focus on the whole and keep that in mind. After doing that, close your eyes and point on the finger where your target is. Open your eyes and see whether it is correct or not and then start the game.

  2. You can always judge the distance from the side of putts to have an idea about the distance you have to cover. This will give you much better appreciation of the overall putt length. You could memorize the distance of putt and then go back to the ball to complete your read.

  3. There is always a debate between reading the putt from behind the hole or behind the ball. Now this discussion has come to an end.

  • If your putt is downhill, read it from behind the hole.

  • If your putt is uphill, read it from the behind the ball.

  1. Block all the noise pollution and focus on your ball and hole. Look out for the horizontal lines as the pros do in their game. You have to look for a flat line in the background, and then compare how much the green around them tilts in comparison. Even on severely undulating greens, horizontal lines are easy to spot.

  2. You can read the puts like a clock. When you reach the green imagine a clock with you standing at 6 o’ clock and hole at 12 o’clock. Inspect the surrounding and imagine where on the clock your putt will roll over to fall into the cup. Find your entry point, and then let instincts take over. After all, it is about draining putts, not perfect reads.
